devlog2- character sheets and examples
The main PDF went through some minor changes, adding questions(mainly to creating your cat), moving some things around, and clarifying a few rules, mainly around Acting and using Action Points. I recommend having this one instead!
There are now character and note sheets, providing you an easy place to write down any notes you might want to throughout play!
On suggestion, I have also added an example of play. This takes you through the creation, journey, and rest of the cat Jingle, a 2 year old house cat who has gotten out of their home and is trying to get back! It is a short adventure, giving examples of different ways to build Situations, a Fight, and a Rest. I hope these are helpful!
This is the first game I've made past the brainstorming part, and I am very excited that people have checked it out, so thank you so much to everyone who has downloaded it. I am looking forward to taking what I have learned forward to other projects!
I have wanted to make a cat TTRPG since 2020, when my friends(&roommates) and I couldn't play our current campaign, tried to play the Official Warriors TTRPG. I immediately tried to figure out ways I could improve it, making a game more geared towards older kids or adults. Growing up reading the Warriors books, and roleplaying on late 00's internet forums, this game is a love letter to kids like me, pretending to be cats on the playground.
Happy playing,
Patches&co. =^.^=
